The Hague has the luxury of 11 kilometers of coast on its doorstep. Each section of beach has its own vibe.
There is something for everyone. You can go shopping, sit on a terrace, play glow in the dark miniature golf, zipline, bowl, step into the casino and much more!
This stretch of beach too crowded/touristy? Check out the other beaches!

Get out here to enjoy the peace and quiet, too. This is the trendier part of the beach. The tents you find here on the boulevard are usually populated by the hip youth of The Hague. Trendsetters, this is the place to be! Also the place where in summer most of the beach parties are.

Every summer, from May to September, the Beach Stadium is locatedat the Noordelijk Havenhoofd on the coast of The Hague. The stadium, which is free to enter, hosts several top sports events during these months. Want to get moving yourself? Then take a surf lesson at one of the beach tents.

Beyond the harbor you will find the Zuiderstrand. Many people find this one of the most beautiful parts of The Hague. Among Hagenezen it is also known as the quiet beach. It is the 'secret' alternative between Scheveningen and Kijkduin, right behind the dunes, for everyone who loves the beach and the sea. Also highly recommended if you prefer not to be among the tourists.

Kijkduin is a real family seaside resort with activities for young and old. The wide beach slopes gently into the sea making it relatively safe for the little ones. The beaches of Kijkduin have a Blue Flag, a European label for clean and safe beaches. Currently there is busy construction but you can still enjoy a beautiful view of the sea.

Try something other than beach! Looking for the best place for fresh fish? The harbor is the place to be! Enjoy a delicious kibbeling on a terrace and the passing boats.

During the summer vacations, travel extra fast to the beach with the Strandexpress. It follows the route of streetcar 9 but only stops at the stops Hollands Spoor Station, The Hague Central Station, Kurhaus and Zwarte Pad.
