Regio subscription

The Regio abonnement has a center zone and a star value. They determine the area in which you may travel with the subscription. Find the zones you want to travel in on the zone map. Or look at the line network map. This shows the zone boundaries at a stop with a gray dotted line and the zone number.

• Select one zone (star value 1) or multiple zones (center zone + one or more adjacent zones). The center zone is the center point of the travel area.

• The number of stars indicates how many zones you can travel freely from the center zone to all directions. The higher the star value, the larger the travel area.

• How many zones do you need to make all your trips from the center zone?

The number of zones you need for this = the number of stars on your subscription. 

• In the area in South Holland that you have chosen.
• In the trams and buses of HTM, Connexxion, RET, Qbuzz, EBS and Arriva in the province of South Holland.
• On the NS-trajectory Gouda - Alphen a/d Rijn.

• At the HTM webshop and then pick up your season ticket (within 2 months) with your personal OV-chipkaart at a Recharge and Pick-up machine in your area (adress finder, choose 'Pick-up order' under service type)
• At HTM Service Shops. Take your personal OV-chipkaart with you
• At the yellow vending machines in various stores, supermarket and tobacco stores (adress finder, choose 'Buy travel products' under service type).
• Vending & charging machines in RET metro stations.
• The Regio monthly pass is also available from yellow vending machines at 18 stops.

• At HTM service shops
• At RET (metro stations Rotterdam Centraal, Beurs and Zuidplein and Laan op Zuid 2, Rotterdam). RET applies a counter surcharge of €0.50.
• Arriva stores in Gorinchem, Dordrecht, Gouda, Leiden and Alphen a/d Rijn.

You can pay for an annual pass in two ways:

• In 1 lump sum with PIN, cash or credit card at the HTM Service Shop.
• In 10 installments. The administration fee for installment payment is a one-time €7.50.

Do you want to pay in installments? Then bring with you:

• A valid identification document (passport, driver's license, identity card).
• A bank card with the account number you use for direct debit on it. 

At the HTM Service Shop, you always pay the first installment (10% of the price) in advance in cash, using your bank card or credit card. The rest of the amount will then be debited from your account in 9 monthly installments. 

Did you take out your annual subscription on the 1st to the 15th of the month? Then the collection date is the 30th. Did you conclude your annual subscription on the 16th to the 31st of the month? Then the collection date is the 15th.

Even with a Regio abonnement, you must always check in and out. Checking in is only to verify that you are traveling with a valid ticket.
Are you traveling from the area where your Regio abonnement is valid to an area where your abonnement is not valid? Then when you check out, you will only be charged for the part of the trip for which your subscription was not valid.

You can cancel your Region monthly or annual subscription at any HTM Service Shop. This can be done free of charge until the second day after the start date of the season ticket. You cannot cancel a season ticket after that date. You can also cancel a yearly subscription after the 2nd day after the starting date. You will be refunded the amount of the unused months. Except for the last 2 months, because you received those for free. The administration fee for stopping/ending the contract is €5.  

Changing the center zone or star value of your Region monthly or annual subscription can be done at an HTM Service Shop. This can be done until the second day after the start date of the subscription. After that you cannot change the subscription. When changing to the center zone this is free of charge. When changing to a higher star value, you must pay the price difference. Changing to a lower star value is not possible.
